We’ll explore the beach at North Berwick and aim to identify as many seaweed species as possible. Along the way, we’ll cover the basics of how seaweeds function, their main groups, and key identification features. We’ll also look at their ecology and how they provide vital nursery habitats for many other species. We’ll collect specimens and explore how different seaweeds adapt to rocky and sandy shore environments.
