Charlotte Cowan Pearson was admitted as a member of Botanical Society of Edinburgh (now Botanical Society of Scotland) in 1894.

Hardbacked in embossed gold, with ivory lined paper inside and finished with red inside the cover. A magnetic flap encases the pages with two ribbon page markers inside and a pocket at the back for loose pieces of paper.
